POROTITI

Maori make them using bone, jade, wood,stone even cardboard. Porotiti are wind voices and come from. When it is played by twirling two strings  making it spin and hum.The sound varies depending on  shape and size and material. They are calming and meditative.  It can be used as a toy for young and old alike. They are used for sacred karakia accompaniment and they are used as Song catchers.Porotiti are used all around the world as children toys and musical instruments.It is also called Kōrorohū.In the end most look like a shaped piece of cardboard on string.An object that is spun very quickly then blown at.
